I took a few flying lessons in my early 20’s and started flying again in 2018, and got my Private Pilot License shortly after. While being a general contractor and electrical contractor professionally for over 25 years, discovering aviation again was a game changer for me. After meeting and working with Phil, Weston, and David on my first RV build, I knew this could be something special. Working with them was so educational, enjoyable, and efficient. I was inspired to learn more, build more, and band this team of skilled craftsmen together to create Cascade Aircrafters. Together we built my beautiful RV-10 that I was able to fly (with my 20 year old son, also a pilot) to OshKosh 2022, where we won an Outstanding Workmanship Award.

My wife and I love traveling and flying new places with our 3 kids!

In 2007, I began building RV’s under master craftsman Wally Anderson, and have continued building these planes ever since. I am an A&P and over the last 15 years, I’ve helped build over 125 airplanes. I still very much enjoy the challenge of creating a safe, efficient and beautiful airplane, and can’t think of a better line of work to be in. Weston, David, and Ben here at Cascade Aircrafters are a great group of guys to work with.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Starr, and our 3 kids, Austin, Avery, and Hudson. My personal hobbies include building and flying RC balsa airplanes, and building a small wooden row and sail boat (Shellback Dinghy). I’m also very excited to start building a Kitfox Model 7 Super Sport, with the opportunity to be part owner of it, and to continue my training for a private pilot license.

Machines are the coolest, especially the ones that fly. 5 years in the Active Air Force and currently at 3+ in the Reserves and counting. My career in the Air Force is a part of Civil Engineering. In the Structures Shop, we focused on most aspects of construction. We also received training on Welding and Sheet Metal Fabrication, which has proven its value when working on experimental aircraft.

3+ years of experience on RV Aircraft. 7’s, 8’s, 9’s, 10’s, 12’s, and 14’s. Assisted in 10+ empennage kit builds between the 10 and 14 models. Multiple wing kits and a few standard build fuselage kits. Everything from prepping and priming parts, fiberglass, wiring, full scale assembly and much more. This opportunity, although unexpected, has been a dream come true!

Working towards a Private Pilots License, wrenching on JDM cars from the 90’s, and playing soccer take up my spare time. I am proud to be a part of the team at Cascade Aircrafters.

I have been fortunate to work on and build experimental airplanes for more than 5 years now. With a background in construction, carpentry, and millwright work, I really enjoy the fine craftsmanship combined with the precise mechanics these airplanes require. It’s great being part of the team here at Cascade Aircrafters building these incredible airplanes.

Outside of work, I enjoy the great outdoors that Oregon has to offer, hunting, boating, and fishing. I still find a little time to enjoy a few lifelong hobbies of mine, building rc airplanes and drones, as well as fine carpentry and furniture building.

I have 5 years of experience in aviation and 2 years in aviation maintenance/building. As a kid, my love for aviation started with remote control airplanes. Since then my dreams and goals for a career in aviation have bloomed. I received my Private Pilot License in 2020 and am working on further certifications. I have 2 years experience in the Oregon Army National Guard as a UH60 Blackhawk Helicopter Maintainer/Crew Chief. I am scheduled to graduate in the fall of 2023 with an associates degree in Aviation Maintenance as well a my A&P at Lane Community College.

Outside of work I enjoy road cycling, working on a 1943 PBY-5A Catalina, and traveling. My future goals in aviation include: earning my commercial pilots license, furthering my knowledge/experience in aviation maintenance, and earning my bachelors degree so I can commission into the US military as a fighter pilot. I look forward to meeting you and helping make your dream a reality!

In 2020, during my senior year in high school, I completed my Private Pilot License. Throughout the past few years, I’ve flown all around Oregon and across the country. After high school, I attended two years of college at the University of Oregon and I’m beginning my second year at Oregon State University with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Engineering and problem-solving are some of my day-to-day passions, and I enjoy the process of making. This position has given me an inspiring perspective on teamwork, I’m grateful to be a part of this company and the clients we help.

I plan to pursue my professional aviation career further and work towards a position at the Airlines and Emergency Medical Transport (Lifeflight). In my free time, I love to surf, read, strength train, and spend time with family and friends.

My passion for aviation started at a very young age flying remote control airplanes and helicopters with my dad and brother. I’ve pursued the hobby for over 20 years where I now compete at the highest level of rc precision aerobatics.

In 2021 I began working in the experimental aircraft fabrication industry. I’ve had the opportunity to work on every modern model in the Vans Aircraft product line. From building empennage kits to avionics installation, I love the process of building these incredible aircraft and working alongside customers to see their dream come to life.

I have a strong background in electronics, as well as metal and wood fabrication, through the years of experience designing and installing advance lithium power management systems in off grid living applications.

I love living in the beautiful Willamette Valley where my wife and I enjoy exploring the great outdoors on hiking trips and riding bikes.
